How We Help
Helping our neighbors in the Pacific Northwest
The first priority of the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing is to help the people of Washington State, Northern Idaho, Montana, and Alaska who have sight and hearing needs. We also provide services and education for health care providers and the hospitals that facilitate cornea donation.
Through programs like the Lions Patient Care Program and the Lions Hearing Aid Bank, the Foundation works as a partner with the Lions Clubs of our region to help neighbors regain their sight or hearing. The nearly 300 Lions Clubs in the Pacific Northwest serve as the Foundation's eyes and ears. They are the experts at knowing who in their communities needs our help.
To protect Sight & Hearing health, other programs like the Lions Health Screening Unit take preventative services to communities throughout the region.
...and others in need
Because of the generosity and selflessness of Northwest citizens, SightLife recovers more tissue than is required to meet regional need. We place tissue not needed locally with surgeons in other states and other countries, where need far outstrips supply.
